A fermentative prodn. of aminoacids (AA) from AA producing bacteria is claimed in which a bacteria strain, pref. a coryneform bacterial strain, is used having an increased activity of its secretion system induced by chemical or physical mutations. The strains pref. is selected by screening using measurements of cell internal and cell external AA concns.. Pref. it also has a low pH dependence of the secretion. For lysine secretion, pref. a strain is used having a secretion rate above 10 micro Mol/min g dry wt. at a pH below 7.5, such as improved Corynebacterium (C.) glutamicum DSM 5714 and DSM6870. USE/ADVANTAGE - AA, e.g. L-lysine, L-isoleucine, L-arginine are food additives, part of infusion solns. and starting materials in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. ADVANTAGE - So far, AA prodn. in bacteria was increased by targeted genomic mutations and amplifications. Using the new method, a further increase in the AA prodn. is achieved. |
