PURPOSE: To provide a conversion type intaglio printing machine capable of collect intaglio printing and direct intaglio printing. CONSTITUTION: An intaglio printing machine is equipped with three machine stands I, II, III. The machine stand I is loaded with an impression cylinder 1 and a plate cylinder 2 and the machine stand II is loaded with a stencil roller 10 and an inking arrangement and the machine stand III is loaded with a color- collect cylinder 8. The machine stand III is separated from the position between the machine stands I, II to be able to move to a non-working position. By this constitution, the machine stand II is arranged in adjacent relation to the machine stand I to make it possible to constitute a direct intaglio printing machine. As a result, a conversion type intaglio printing machine capable of executing collect intaglio printing in first working arrangement wherein all of three machine stands are present at a working position and capable of executing direct intaglio printing in second working arrangement using only the machine stands I, II is provided.
