PURPOSE:To obtain an optical waveguide module by which a substrate type optical waveguide can be easily coupled with another optical device. CONSTITUTION:An interface member 1 is comprised in such a way that a rod lens 13 is held in a state where it is embedded in a buffer layer 14 between two substrates 11, 12. The buffer layer 14, the rod lens 13, and the upper substrate 12 are formed by being divided into two terminal parts in a state where a flat plane 15 is left in the center part of the lower substrate 11, and every two rod lenses 13 are embedded in parallel. The substrate type optical waveguide 2 to be coupled with the rod lens 13 is placed on the flat plane 15 of the interface member 1, then, they are unified. |
