The shelving has two supporting elements (26) which are maintained at the sides of a visual display unit (12) by a belt (30) which also secures a transverse member (28) to the top of the display unit. The insides of the supporting elements (26) have anti slip pads to add to their stability. The belt (30) passes through longitudinal slots in the transverse member (28) and also the supporting elements (26). Each supporting element (26) carries two brackets (48). The brackets (48) are adjustable vertically by sliding and are fixed as required by disengageable dowels. Shelves or trays (50) are attached to the brackets by sliding groove and flange connections. ADVANTAGE - Space adjacent to visual display units may be utilised for office purposes.
