PURPOSE:To obtain size which accords with transformation magnifications more faithfully and to improve print quality by rounding up or off fractions so that a bit pattern formed by an outline font has the least area. CONSTITUTION:Frictions of respective coodinate values are rounded up or off so that the bit pattern has the least area. The length of a segment 6 connecting apexes 5 obtained by calculation results is always longer than the length of a segment 4 connecting apexes 4 obtained after the rounding process. Here, the fractions of, for example, the X and Y coordinates (a) of one of the apexes 5 obtained from the calculation results are rounded off and the X coordinate and Y coordinate of coordinates (b) are rounded off and up respectively; and the X and Y coordinates (c) are both rounded off and the X coordinate and Y coordinate of coordinates (d) are rounded up and off respectively. This rounding method is illustrated as shown by (+, +), (-, +), (-, -), and (+, -). |
