Method of forming underground parking facility - includes steps of cutting galleries, in underground excavation, with arches between walls supported on piles

The method includes galleries (30,40,50) being mechanically cut in a large width underground excavation. Successive execution of the two side galleries (30,40) is preliminary to the execution of the central gallery (50). Each side gallery has an arch extending between a side wall resting on a line of outside piles (21,24) and a beam (35,45) supported by a line of inside piles (22,23) and by posts (36,46). For each pile a small diameter drilling is made from the surface into the gallery foundation. From the gallery foundation a bore of low height and equal to the pile diameter made in the drilling. The pile is placed in the drilling and embedded into the gallery foundation. ADVANTAGE - Reduces surface interventions to a minimum and preserves the urban site.
