PURPOSE: To obtain a local area network station suited to radio LAN, minimizing an interfering effect between with other LAN. CONSTITUTION: In the local area network station receiving a data symbol transmitted by a radio channel by encoding to a spread spectrum code, right angle correlation devices 42 and 44 of matched phases output a signal and address- designate a reading table for converting to a sample signal concerning amplitude and a phase by using the signal. A corresponding amplitude sample signal is integrated to be stored in plural registers and a register housing a maximum value is found concerning each symbol to identify a sample number. The number is stored in a sample number register. The time of a symbol clock signal RXCLK to use for clocking received data is decided by using this sample number.
