PURPOSE:To decrease the transmission loss of optical fibers in an optical head. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element 1 and a photodetector 2 are housed in an optical sensor. The light from the light emitting element 1 is guided through a plurality of incident optical fibers 3 and projected on a body to be detected. The reflected light from the body to be de detected is guided to the photodetector 2 through a plurality of optical fibers 4 on the emitting side in the optical sensor. As the light emitting element 1 and the photodetector 2, a light emitting chip 5 and a light receiving chip 6, which are not packaged, are used. Therefore transmission loss is less, and the compact optical sensor is obtained. |
