PURPOSE:To limit a current command signal to a certain value or smaller with a minimum distortion to prevent an over-current from flowing to a main circuit with respect to the limiter device for the current command signal generating circuit of a power converter using an inverter like an active filter for power. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of a level detector 13 which monitors the signal level of the last current command signal and generates the detection signal at the time of excess of the current command signal over a prescribed limit value, a variable gain means 14 which quickly reduces the gain till arrival of the last current command signal at the prescribed limit value or smaller at the time of receiving the detection signal from the level detector and slowly restores the gain toward the original gain after this arrival, and a multiplying means 15 which multiplies the last current command signal by the variable gain given from the variable gain means and attenuates the last current command signal in accordance with the variable gain. |
