A control system for a machine, and a textile machine with a number of separate controlled sections with AC drive motors, has setting system (40) for each with a data processing unit (45) with memories (451) for voltage and frequency values for the start-up program for each AC motor (41). USE/ADVANTAGE - The control system, esp. for a textile machine, is for an assembly with a number of powered spindles etc., such as a spinner or twister. The system gives control of stoppages and restarting spindle motors with reduced energy consumption at the drive motors, with data flow and processing to set the current supplies and operation.
