<p>PURPOSE:To fully take advantage of the features of a face plate at striking a ball by providing a face plate made of materials of high elastic modulus on an open side of a cavity inside the face of the head frame body. CONSTITUTION:A head frame body 1 has a cavity part 4 between a part for face 2 and a back face 3 except a peripheral end part 2a and is provided with a face plate 5 made of materials of high elastic modulus such as CFRP(carbon fiber reinforced plastic), etc., in such a way as to close an open side 4a of the cavity part 4. Due to the cavity part 4, only the face plate 5 gets an impact of striking a ball, showing features of the plate made of elastic material. The head frame body 1 has a constitutional effect of weight adjustment of the whole, connection with and support of other weight member 9 and coupling with a shaft 7, etc., to keep a characteristic effect of metal material of high specific gravity and high strength.</p> |
