<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize the converter operation and to prevent the refractory of inner wall of the furnace caused by the charge of steel scrap from damage by melting and removing the stuck metal at the part bringing about trouble to the operation in the metal stuck to the inner wall of the converter with a gas burner. CONSTITUTION:The metal 6 is stuck to the upper part 2 of a furnace opening part of the converter, a furnace opening part 3 in the furnace, an inclined wall part 4 in the furnace and a lower part 5 from the inclined wall in the furnace caused by spitting at the time of steelmaking operation by oxygen blowing in the converter and also, a part of the molten steel at the time of steel-tapping is stuck and solidified as the stuck metal 6 to the other part other than the upper part 2 of the furnace opening part to make the converter operation unsteady. In this case, the stuck metals 6 to the furnace opening part 3 in the furnace and the lower part 5 from the inclined wall in the furnace bringing about the trouble to the operation are melt and removed and also, the stuck metal to the upper part 2 of the furnace opening part is peeled and dropped into the furnace by shock of steel scrap after pre-forming one or two lines of melted grooves. The stuck metal to the inclined wall part 4 in the furnace is allowed to remain and utilized to the protection to the furnace wall at the time of charging steel scrap as the raw material in the succeeding operation to protect the wall in the furnace from the shock of the steel scrap.</p> |
