The invention relates to a method and an envelope blank (1) for manufacturing a bulk mail letter (14) or a similar flat packaging, and a bulk mail letter provided by the method. The blank (1) consists of a paper sheet divided into two halves (3, 4) by a folding line (2), one half (3) of the paper sheet being provided with adhesive strips (5) going around the part. The packaging (14) is manufactured in a continuous process where the blank is first made to move (1) and the contents of the packaging are placed on the one half of the blank. The transfer of the blank can be carried out by push pins (8) fitted into the detents (6) formed into the blank, whereby the contents (10) of the packaging are placed on the blank in front of the push pins (8) in such a way that the pins ensure its positioning in the direction of movement of the blank. After this the blank is folded over so that the contents (10) of the packaging remain under the folded half (3) of the blank within the periphery formed by the adhesive strips (5). Finally, the envelope is closed by seaming the halves (3, 4) of the blank to each other along the adhesive strips (5). The closed envelope can further be shaped by die-cutting its seamed edge areas (15). |
