Process for producing high alumina fireproof products, particularly applicable in direct contact with melted steel or pig iron, containing mixture of materials including part of granular sintered bauxite and/or high alumina grog and/or sintered corundum, raw slurry clay and composite mixture of materials, characterised in that the components containing 5 - 60% of sintered materials - bauxite and/or grog, and/or sintered corundum, 0.5 - 55% of natural materials including 0-12% of aluminium silicate - cyanite, 0-40% of silimanite, 0-50% of andalusite, and 5-10% of raw fire resistant clay and/or raw kaolin - included in the mixture are subjected to the micronisaton process to obtain granulation level at least 85% below 60 μm, including at least 50% of material below 20 μm and 15% below 3 μm, subsequently the mixture is subject to homogenisation process, and then 15 - 60% of the composite is mixed with aggregate including 25-80% of sintered bauxite and/or high alumina grog and/or sintered corundum and/or their mixture with granularity 0-2.8 mm with addition of 1-15% of the fire resistant raw clay and/or kaolin in a form of slurry, and the mixture is used to form products by applying unit pressure of at least 80N/mm <2>, then it is dried and fired in temperature range 1,720 - 1,950 degrees K.
