PURPOSE:To provide the subject compound active on various kinds of resistant bacteria as well as sensitive bacteria, and useful as an active ingredient of pest-controlling agents effective for problematic various insect pests. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I [R<1> is alkyl; R<2> is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, or COX<1> (X<1> is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, or alkoxy); R<3> is phenyl; R<4> is H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, phenyl, CN, NR<5>R<6> (R<5> and R<6> are each H or alkyl, or combined into 5 to 7-membered heterocyclic group together with adjacent N atom) or CO2R<7> (R<7> is alkyl); A is H, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy], e.g. methyl-N{2-[(3,4-diethoxy-alpha- methylbenzylidene)--aminoxymethyl]phenyl} carbamate. The compound of the formula I can be obtained by reaction of a compound of formula II with a compound of the formula ClCO2R<1>. |
