PURPOSE:To detect whether a material to be recorded is properly present in a recording part and to prevent the recording operation of the recording part at an improper time. CONSTITUTION:An inlet sensor 20 for detecting a material to be recorded is provided on the upstream side of a pinch roller 8 on an inlet side and an outlet sensor 21 for detecting the material to be recorded is provided between the recording part 200 on the downstream side of the sensor 20 and a discharge roller 7. Both sensors 20,21 are connected in series or connected through a logical AND circuit to detect the presence of the recording part 3. By this constitution, the recording operation of the recording part 200 is prevented in such a state that a material 3 to be recorded is not present in the recording part 200 or the material 3 to be recorded is jammed. |
