<p>PURPOSE: To make possible a detachable interconnection of electronic parts by providing a cooperative latch means, which comprises a latch member connected to a cover by a rotating hinge, and a ledge engaging projection, etc. CONSTITUTION: A latch 70 constituting a cooperative latch means is coupled to a cover 16 by a middle hinge 72 and includes a pair of hanging latch arms 74, 76, which hang from the hinge 72. The latch 70 also includes tabs 84, 86 which can be gripped by a pair of hands, the tabs 84, 86 being moved about the hinge 72 in respective directions to cause widening of the arms 74, 76, i.e., outward movement. Thereby ledges 80, 82 leave the latch receiving member 66 of a header connector 12, and easy removal of a socket connector 10 from the header connector 1 2 is made possible. Therefore, the connector 10 can easily be removed from the connector 12 by simply gripping the tabs 84, 86 together.</p> |
