PURPOSE:To provide the abnormality detection device in which damage caused by a runaway of CPU can be prevented by detecting and excluding (resetting) the abnormality caused by the runaway of CPU in the copying machine and also damage caused by an abnormality other than the runaway of the CPU is prevented by detecting that. CONSTITUTION:This is the abnormality detection device for the copying machine provided with the CPU1 controlling each part to form a latent image by exposing an original with an exposure means, developing and transferring this latent image, and after that, fixing by a fixing device and outputting. By providing a means to detect any abnormality other than the runaway of the CPU1 as well as to detect the abnormality caused by the CPU1, the CPU1 is reset based on the detection of the detection means. |
