METHOD FOR DETECTING DISPERSION INFORMATION BETWEEN BITS IN PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERTER

PURPOSE:To simply detect dispersion information without use of a fully white original. CONSTITUTION:While an original lighted by a lighting light source 4 is moved by a paper feed roller 3, picture information on the surface of the original is photoelectric-converted continuously by a photoelectric conversion element array 1. An optical axis of a 'Selfoc(R)' lens array 2 tying the photoelectric conversion element array 1 and an upper end of an outer circumferential face of the paper feed roller 3 is made perpendicular to the photoelectric conversion element array 1 and the paper feed roller 3 is arranged opposite to the photoelectric conversion element array 1. Then a reflecting face 5 is formed to the outer circumferential face of the paper feed roller 3, the reflected light from the reflecting plane 5 is photoelectric-converted by the photoelectric conversion element array 1 and dispersion in the converted value is detected as dispersion information between bits.
