PURPOSE:To provide the title optical transmitter capable of constantly outputting stable photo signals. CONSTITUTION:The title optical transmitter is provided with a modulation circuit 1 for input signal, a photodetector 3 converting photo signals from a light emitting element 2 to electrical signals, a distortion monitor circuit 4 outputting monitor voltage based on the optical output from the photo detecting element 3 as well as a comparison circuit 5 outputting comparison detecting signals when the output from the strain monitor circuit 4 exceeds the previously set up reference voltage, furthermore, a detection circuit 6 holding the minimum monitor voltage in the strain monitor circuit 4 to reset the held value by the comparison detecting signals from the comparison circuit 5, a bias current control circuit 7 outputting the bias current corresponding to the held value by the detection circuit 6 as well as a composite circuit 8 composing the output from the modulation circuit 1 and that from said control circuit 7 to be outputted to the light emitting element 2. |
