Containment box for anaesthesia of livestock, partic. pork, prior to slaughter by cutting of throat comprises: (a) a vertical sliding door (1) for introduction of the animal, (b) inclining pivoting lateral panels (3,4), of which one (3) is adjustable according to the size of the animal, (c) a frame (2) on which the two panels (3,4) articulate, (d) a panel (5) which acts as a mobile floor, (e) control systems for the panels (3,4,5). USE/ADVANTAGE - Manual application of electrical anaesthetic in small abattoirs. Prevents bone rupture due to shock, thus reducing losses. Suitable for animals of different sizes. 40-60 animals/hour processed.
