Biologically cleaning of waste water - by removing biologically degradable material and using rotating basin driven by surface fans

Biological cleaning of waste water contg. biologically degradable material involves the use of a rotating basin driver by surface fans, whereby for formation of denitrification zones fans can be cut out and then to maintain an adequate flow speed, rotating devices are switched on. The rotating devices are switched on backwards from the measurement point and are switched off in the opposite direction. A theoretical flow speed is predetermined and the measured speed is composed with it and only where there is a deviation of at least 25% are the rotating devices switched on or off. The flow speed is measured over a period of 10 minute and from this time an average value is obtd. The bottom flow in the circulating basin is measured. USE/ADVANTAGE - Independently of the switching on and off of surface fans for denitrification, the rotary devices are switched on and off depending upon the flow speed measured at a representative point.
