The plant for measuring out dry fodder has the fodder released in unit quantities into a manger beneath the outlet. The fodder is in a container of inverted conical shape mounted above a motorised helical drive (8), controlled by a time switch (9). The drive conveys the fodder forwards to the outlet, the quantity delivered being dependent on the time that the motor has been rotating. The container has a volume of about 50 litres and is made of stainless steel. There is a window for inspecting the level. The helical drive shaft is either screwed or plugged onto the motor shaft. ADVANTAGE - Exact metering, even for small quantities of fodder.
