The assembly for the removal of internal organs from suspended carcasses (10), esp. swine, has a container unit (26) for the organs on a conveyor system (21,22,24) opposite the organ removal side and at a gap from the conveyor (12,14,15) for the carcasses (10), to one side of the carcass suspension plane (20). As the container unit (26) travels along the process line, a lateral shift system moves the container (26) in and out of the suspension plane (20) of the carcass (10), below it. USE/ADVANTAGE - The system is for a slaughterhouse, where the carcasses are suspended from a conveyor, and the internal organs are removed as the carcasses travel through. The operation gives a high organ removal rate, for increased prodn. speeds, without affecting preceding or following workstations.
