<p>PURPOSE:To provide an auxiliary storage device capable of writing and reading at a higher speed as compared with the conventional device of physically moving the relative position of a magnetic head to a magnetic medium surface and maintaining data without the supply from a power source. CONSTITUTION:A storage module 12 composed of a set of an EPROM, a ROM writer, and a liquid crystal element is arranged in a lattice shape on the inner surface of a housing 13 having the structure of a polygonal cylinder, a circular cylinder or an ellipsoid and the stable erasing operation of the EPROM is realized by irradiation with ultraviolet rays from an ultraviolet emitting device 11 arranged on the axial part of the housing 13. Information writing on the erased EPROM is executed by means of the ROM writer based on the control by a controller 14. Consequently, high speed writing and reading on the EPROM arranged in the housing is realized independently of the place of arrangement.</p> |
