Method for applying glue to expanded polystyrene parts by spraying glue in aqueous solution, the method consisting in protecting the parts of the support on which the part to be glued is placed by means of a film or layer of water, the level of which does not reach that of the plane of glue, so as to protect the surface of the support from soiling by deposits of glue. Apparatus comprising a support 30 having an indented shape for grasping and prepositioning the part to be glued 5 and plunged into a tank of water 16 equipped with means 9, 26 for supplying and draining water and overflow discharge means 17, 13, with means for controlling the level 19 actuating the said overflow discharge means and with means for spraying glue 21, 22.
