The motion compensating and error correcting apparatus for video signal includes an adder for adding a quantized signal to a fedback signal, a controller for controlling frame memories, a means for amplifying the error corrected signal of the frame memories, adding it to the quantized signal, subtraction-compring the added signal with the signal of a frame memory and decoding the signal, and an adder for adding the decoded signal to a signal decoded at the reception side, thereby enhancing the fidelity of information with respect to the moving part.
