The vertical door is attached to vertical rails (6) by guides (7) on the door edge. The vertical rails turn through 90 degrees at the door bottom to become horizontal rails (4) fitting into guides (5) at the sides of the oven so that the door assembly can slide back. The vertical rails have inclined stepped edges and the door guides have matching pegs (10,11) which ride on them. The lower of these pegs might instead be a U-shaped spring element clipped onto the double wall of the door. The upper peg is a short horizontal distance away from the axis of gravity of the door. ADVANTAGE - No play in door, yet it can be opened easily without need for tools, also inexpensive to manufacture.
