The nut (2) has an internal thread (4) ensuring its axial movement w.r.t. the threads on the spindle (7), and an external edge (8) having annular grooves (11) corresp. in spacing to the sawtooth projections (12) from the inside edges of a divided damping element (5). The gap (10) between the teeth and the grooves is filled with oil from a radial inlet (13). The plane of division of the damping element intersects the axis (6) of the spindle in the axial direction. ADVANTAGE - Vibrations in both radial and axial directions are damped by squeezing of oil in gap between sawtooth edges of damping element and nut.
