Into the gas ducts (4) passing through the burner plate (3), enters the gas-air mixt. at one plate side (5) from a mixing chamber. At the opposite plate side (6) are formed the flames (F). The burner plate consists of numerous, corrugated metal strips (7). The strip corrugations bound the gas ducts. The strip wall thickness is considerably less than their width (B), determining the gas duct length. The wall thickness is smaller by a factor of 10 to 30. A flat strip (9) may be fitted between the corrugated ones, on which the corrugations abut. ADVANTAGE - Simple design for preventing overheating of the burner plate, and stable flame pattern.
