<p>A device for sealing a lid (2) onto a drum (1), in particular a metal drum, provided with a split ring of (5) channel-like cross section, which ring (5) simultaneously encloses an edge (4) of the lid (2) and a rim (3) of the drum (1), and wherein the two ends of the ring (5) can be pulled toward each other by a tensioning member, wherein each end part of the ring (5) is embodied with an eye-shaped element (9), wherein a locking means in the form of a pin (11) is placed through the eyes (9) lying opposite and mutually in line, and wherein at least one end part of the pin (11) is provided with a cold deformation (15) to be arranged for sealing the pin (11) in the eyes (9), which seal also bears an identification mark (17).</p> |
