Elongated, flattened rod-shaped wooden or plastic rule elements (11-13) are pivotably connected at their ends via latching linkage axles perpendicular to their broad faces. The narrow longitudinal faces lie in two parallel planes. The latching linkages enable force-locked fixing of the elements to each other when parallel. The elements have printed information or images on a narrow face visible in the folded state. Within the printed region, limiting lines along longitudinal edges of the rule elements mark a line structure with gaps (18) running between the printed surfaces (19) of the rule elements to form a calendar display. ADVANTAGE - Line structure of entire surface of folded rule can be easily incorporated into printed design visible when rule is folded together.
