Melt in a double-hearth steel-making furnace, equipped on both its faces by two identically arranged flue complexes, consisting of a flue elbow pipe with refining nozzles, closable reversible stacks, with spray shaft (5), into which opens the connecting pipe of the flue cone with flue chimney tract and where, under the spray shaft (5), there is a mobile sediment truck (19) with box (1) moving across the longitudinal axis of the furnace, conducted so that, after melting in the first refining hearth blasting of refining oxygen begins in the second, preheating hearth and the combustion products in it are removed to the flue complex of this preheating hearth. The spray shaft with (5) with sediment truck (19) for this process is equipped in its lower section on its perimeter with cutters (4) of the sand closure (6) created on the upper perimeter of the box (1), set on the hydraulic jacks (20) of the sediment truck (19), whereas the box (1) is equipped with a roof-shaped bottom (15), whose corners are dammed by flanges (7) with side plates, mutually offset slits (8) and on their walls there are welded steel profiles (9) of U cross-section, whose stands are equipped with slots (10) and waste water (11) flows into the walls of the lower part of the box (1) of the sediment truck (19).<IMAGE>
