PURPOSE:To enhance dimensional stability and durability by arranging a transfer ink layer on the single surface of a biaxially oriented polyester film specified in thickness, an F5 value in a longitudinal direction, respective refractive indexes in both longitudinal and lateral directions and the center line average roughness and max. height of a rough surface. CONSTITUTION:A transfer material for a printer is constituted by arranging a transfer ink layer on the single surface of a biaxially oriented polyester film satisfying various specific conditions wherein thickness is 1-15mum, an F5 value in a longitudinal direction is 10.2-16kg/mm<2>, a refractive index in a longitudinal direction is below 1,650, a refractive index in a lateral direction is 1,650-1,675, the center line average roughness of the rough surface formed to at least the single surface of the film is 0.02-1mum and the max. height of the rough surface is 0.2-10mum. By this constitution, the transfer material for a printer excellent in dimensional stability and durability is obtained. |
