PURPOSE: To prevent dew, ice or snow from lying on a windshield when a vehicle is not used by arranging an electrically conductive member having a surface specific resistance between buses arranged along each of the opposing edge parts of a transparent body and providing a controller for adjusting power to be fed from a car battery or current for domestic use. CONSTITUTION: Buses 32, 34 are made in contact with a coating 28 along both opposing edges of a transparent body 20 and the outer peripheral part of the body 20 is extended through bus extension parts 36, 38. The buses are connected electrically with a power source 70 and a plug 54 is used for connection to an external power source. The plug 54 is inserted to an outlet 70 for domestic use connected to normal AC power source and a diode 66 is arranged in a connection wire to reduce a quantity of power to be supplied to the body 20 from the AC power source. When current flows through a conductive member 28, the body 20 is heated to a temperature which is high enough to remove dew, ice or snow laid on the windshield. |
