PURPOSE:To obtain a detergent excellent in solubility and in the prevention of bleeding of a nonionic surfactant, improved in detergency, and effective particularly for removal of staining with fatty acid by mixing the nonionic surfactant, a crystalline laminar silicate and a porous oil-absorbent carrier. CONSTITUTION:The composition contains: 12-50wt.% nonionic surfactant having a melting point of 40 deg.C or lower; 3-60wt.% crystalline laminar silicate represented by the formula, wherein M is an alkali metal, 1.5<=x<=4, and y<=25; and 5-30wt.% porous oil-absorbent carrier having an oil absorbency of at least 80ml/100g. To produce this composition, the liquid nonionic surfactant is gradually added or sprayed to a mixture of the crystalline laminar silicate, an oil- absorbent carrier and, if necessary, a powdery ingredient such as a carbonate while they are mixed, and optional ingredients, such as a surface modifier powder, a perfume and an enzyme, are then incorporated into the mixture. |
