INK JET PRINTER, ELECTRONIC SYSTEM USING INK JET PRINTER AND CONTROL METHOD FOR PRINTER AND SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To provide an on-demand type ink jet printer of high reliability which can perform stabilized ink jetting. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet printer and an electronic system are provided with an ink jet head 1 having a plurality of nozzles for jetting ink drops and pressure generating elements for applying pressure to ink and nozzles correspondingly to the nozzles, a timing means 4 for timing the given time and a recovery means 6 for controlling the recovery of nozzles, and recovery is carried out by the recovery means 6 based on the timing means 4 at the given interval at the time when the operation of the head is discontinued. Also the recovery means 6 is operated for recovery at the time when a power source is on. Further, an automatic power source cutting means is operated when the total number of continuous recoveries by the timing means reach the given number.
