Enzyme treatment of oily seeds - using enzyme complexes with multiple activity to increase oil extraction by solvent or pressing

Seeds with low oil content, e.g. soya beans, are subjected to enzyme treatment before and during solvent extraction of the oil, while seeds with high oil content, e.g. sunflower seeds, are treated before pressing. Enzyme complexes with multiple activity are used including cellulase, hemicellulase, gluconase and pectinase.
