The fluorescent screen of a projection Braun tube is formed by (a) implanting a cushion liquor of barium acetate and pure water into the bulb, (b) injecting a suspension of fluorescent powder, potassium silicate and pure water into the bulb to bond the fluorescent material to the inner surface of the panel (1), (c) fixing the bulb on the equiped plate (7), (d) rotating and rocking the plate (7), and (e) draining the residue. The forming method increases the luminance and contrast of the fluorescent panel.
