The invention relates to making a waffle filled with a liquid filling such as honey, egg liqueur or syrup, which contains the liquid filling in a waffle sheet containing impressions, on which a covering waffle sheet is situated. At least the waffle half containing the impression is baked thoroughly in a waffle iron under pressure at temperatures of 240 DEG to 350 DEG and then the liquid filling is filled into the impressions of the waffle half provided. Subsequently, a food glue, which is impervious in relation to the liquid filling, is applied seamlessly to the points of the waffles containing the liquid filling which come into contact with the covering waffle, or as a film covering the entire filled waffle half, and a waffle cover sheet is placed thereon. The process makes it possible to make a waffle filled with a liquid filling, which contains the liquid filling - which possibly hardens during storage - permanently, without the liquid filling penetrating the waffle mass or at the edges. |
