The object of the invention is a process for purifying the waste waters constituted by the civil, industrial, agroalimentary, zootechnical, and the like, waste waters, characterized in that it comprises the following steps, in succession: (a) oxidation of said waste waters with oxygen in the presence of a catalyst (9); (b) phytopurification by causing said waste waters to flow through one or more cell(s) inside which plants are contained, which are not completely under the surface of the stream of waste waters flowing through said cell(s), but at least partially emerge from said stream (20,21,22); (c) filtration of said waste waters in the presence of zeolite (29).
