The installation has each lamp (1) in its holder (2) suspended by a heat-resistant plastic spacer (3) from a shallow Aluminium support (4). The support has external cooling fins (8) and a cover (9), screw-clamped (5) at each end to a wire or rod (6) of the two-conductor power supply system. An Aluminium casing (7) encloses control electronics assigned to a selected channel by a visually inoffensive coded microswitch (13) on top of the cover. Infrared remote control signals are processed by a receiver on the underside of a unit which converts them into electrical signals on one of the conductors (6). ADVANTAGE - All lamps, irrespective of location, can be switched selectively with min. disturbance to the filigree structure and with less sensitivity to heat dissipation.
