Knee joint orthosis with femur part and tibia sleeve - has chain joint region as bridge between lateral coupling rails

The femur part and tibia sleeve are to be secured to the body and are coupled by lateral rails (1, 4), interrupted in the joint region. In the latter is fitted a chain (3) as a bridge between the rails. The chain consists of links (2), through which pass pairs of bolts (6) with mutually parallel axes extending in the body plane. The individual links are so shaped that the adjacent links lie on each other on the body front side plane in extended state. Starting from the bolts, the links taper in vertical direction towards the body rear side. USE/ADVANTAGE - Knee joint orthosis giving increased comfort for user.
