PURPOSE:To safely and effectively perform the piping connecting works by making alignment upon clamping a new piping by a clamping mechanism mounted on a dolly which is self-mobile along the pipings. CONSTITUTION:A clamping mechanism 5 and a connecting mechanism 6 are installed on a dolly 2 which is self-mobile along piping. A new piping Pb is laid while its end is put identical with the connecting end of an already laid piping Pa, and clamped by the clamping mechanism 5 followed by alignment process. A coupling member 19 is mounted previously on either of the old and new pipings Pa, Pb, slid by the connecting mechanism 6 to the piping connecting position, and located in place, and then the two pipings are connected by the connecting mechanism 6. Therein the clamping mechanism 5 and/or connecting mechanism 6 is automatically controlled through a control mechanism 8. |
