The portable elevator can be easily separated into separate parts, without the use of any tools, and which can be transported manually. It consists of four basic component parts, the platform (3), the elevating mechanism (2), the basic frame (1) and the power source (4). The base frame has five wheels, of which two (11) are fixed, two (13) pivot and the fifth (15) is driven and steered and is mounted on a bracket, which can be raised or lowered to enable the platform to be moved or used. The fifth wheel bracket can be locked into the raised position by a locking mechanism, to enable the elevator to be moved freely by manual means. USE/ADVANTAGE - It can easily be taken apart to give compact components, which can easily be transported to the required location for use.
