A volume expanding machine, which is theoretically high in thermal efficiency and low in noise level caused by exhaust, utilizes respective advantages of conventional internal combustion engines such as gas turbines and piston engines to obtain power by compressing, heating, and volumetrically expanding air and, particularly, effectively utilizes a pressure close to a maximum pressure, comprising mainly mechanisms to be used for three steps of operations in the case of an internal combustion engine: air suction; closed type compression-heating-closed type expansion; and exhaust; whereby ratio and volume of compression and expansion can be freely designed for raising thermal efficiency, enabling thermal efficiency to be raised even when a maximum pressure is not so high.
|
