<p>A means is disclosed for protecting or shielding the operating controls, etc. of an item of electronic equipment against deliberate or inadvertent tampering, whilst at the same time protection against unwanted ingress to the workings of the equipment of dust and other foreign matter. The means includes a shield or screen member (2) which, in use, is disposed over the controls, said screen member (2) being attached to the item of equipment by means of one or more bracket assemblies (1), the or each bracket assembly (1) consisting of two substantially complementary shaped and relatively co-operable members (3) and (11), with the member (11) being selectively movable relative to the member (3) between respective operative and inoperative positions, with the operative position corresponding to that wherein the shield or screen member (2) is in place over said controls to deny access thereto, and the inoperative positions corresponding to that wherein access to the control is possible.</p> |
