A device for cleaning contaminated machinery, for example motor vehicles (1), aeroplanes or the like, has a trough with a frame which is held at a distance from the ground (7) by stands (5) and is made of rods or tubes (3) which can be pushed together and over which a plastic sheet (2) which forms the walls and the bottom of the trough and rests in the bottom region on the ground (7), is placed and to which it is attached.
