A load-torque blocking device has a rotary spring (3) and a slotted drive shaft (6) with one or more flat or profiles spring support rings positioned radially between the spring and the shaft. The support rings (12, 13) are rotatably borne by the cylindrical bore of a ring (4) with a bearing clearance (S2) smaller than the clearance (S3) between spring support ring and shaft. The spring support rings pref. have a helical thread-type profile on the side facing the bearing ring bore and the rotary spring coils are located in the helical grooves. Complete separation of the support rings from the shaft is ensured by having them borne by a separate ring and not by the shaft. USE/ADVANTAGE - In bidirectional freewheeling clutches. Entrainment of drive shaft when torque is blocked in prevented.
