A method for cleaning moulds of any geometry of residues, in particular for all types of concrete, mortar, calcareous sandstone, cement paste, gypsum, porcelain, ceramic, glass, foundry sand, metals and plastics with the aid of brushes, scrapers, rolls, nozzles, stirring devices and/or cleaning media, in particular compressed air, hot air, water, high-pressure water jets and ultrasonic baths is proposed. For this purpose, a cleaning device is provided with brushes, scrapers, etc., and/or cleaning media, into which at least one mould is automatically transported at least once. The mould is treated semi-automatically or automatically in the cleaning device with the aid of rotating and vibrating brushes, scrapers, etc., and/or the cleaning media. Then the mould is again transported automatically out of the cleaning device.
